"Under God" upheld in Pledge

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/03/11/BAS71CEC9F.DTL&tsp=1

I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of The United States of America, and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Some jackhole atheist tried to have the pledge removed from public schools citing seperation of church and state.  This guy obviously has too much free time.  He doesn't seem to understand that having a government that acknowledges God, and thus acknowledges our inalienable God-given rights, is a safeguard from tyranny.  What Communist China has done to Tibet is a very good example of what happens when government dismisses, then tries to replace God.
